The Degree Programmes
The Pre-Degree programme is designed for students who have done single-option Physical Education. It covers two semesters
and four semesters designed for individuals with a Teachers' Diploma but did not specialize in Physical Education.
The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education is an add-on year programme which covers three semesters. It was designed
to provide its clientele, particularly practising teacters of Physical Education, with valuable intrinsic and extrinsic benefits
and the oppotunity of upgrading their eucation. The Bachelors programme is accredited by the University Council of Jamaica.

Certificate Programme
The Certificate Programme is gear to persons how are outstanding athletes and coaches.
Graduates are accredited by the Ministry of Education to work at both the Primary and Secondary levels of the Jamaican Educational
System as Specialist 1 teachers.

The Diploma Programme
The Diploma Programme is similar to the programme pursued by students at the other Teachers' colleges in Jamaica and
covers six semesters. The Diploma is accredited by The Joint Board of Teacher Eduaction, University of the West Indies. It
is a double option Physical Education Programme, as students are prepared to teach at both the Primary and Secondary levels
of the education system. Teacher training is done in Physical Education as a specialist as well as Human and Social Biology
as a minor.
